Communism – The Deadliest Virus

The World’s Deadliest Virus – Global Communism – it’s coming!

By Tina Brooker:

The violence and division that we are witnessing sweeping across the West should be a wake up call for each and every one of us.  We must learn from history NOT destroy it.

Communism is a deadly virus, one which must be vaccinated and eradicated before it spreads and kills our freedoms and all that we hold dear.

Nearly 200 years after the writing of the Communist manifesto, the left are now using identity politics and violence in order to resurrect this extremist ideology which is all about power and control.

What is Communism?

In 1848 Europe was burning, political upheaval led to mass violent riots in over 50 countries buildings burn, shops looted and national militias are called in to quell “the mob” sound familiar?

This was the year when Karl Marx published his Communist manifesto it outlined how to destroy Capitalism and usher in Communism through the means of Socialism.  To accomplish this goal the manifesto pits two groups against each other based on their identity – Bourgeoisie versus Proletariat – essentially business owners versus the workers of that business.

Identity hatred is the key component that makes Communism work.  The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles – Karl Marx.

Today we would call this IDENTITY POLITICS.

The principles are the same define people by their groups and pit them against each other with a perceived injustice, a toxic mix.  What follows is violence.  Marx embraced violence.  He called for the overthrow of all existing social conditions and for the common ruin of the classes.

The United Nations

At this point I would like to refer you to an excerpt from an earlier article I have written on the United Nations entitled “UN Calls for Global Governance” in which António Guterres the UN Secretary-General and former president of the Socialist International Party from 1999 to 2005, is, off the back of the “Coronavirus “pandemic, pushing for “global governance”.  Stating:-

“There is a widespread and increasing distrust of national governments, “inequality, discrimination, corruption and lack of opportunities all over the world – grievances that still need to be addressed, including with a renewed social contract.

The UN also recently tweeted its support for Antifa on its official page – alarm bells ringing yet?

Now lets return to the Marx era – What we were left with after this violent ideology of class warfare is a Communist state. Complete State ownership of your life.  No private property, high taxes, Government control of communications and media. Government jobs for all workers.  Government income for all workers.  Mandatory Government education.  Government that supersedes the Church in power.

These are the programs the left are pushing today using Identity Politics and violence to do it. This is all about Power and control.

In 1917 Marx’s ideas got their big shot. Vladimir Lenin was a Russian Marxist living in exile in Switzerland during World War I.  Lenin believed wholeheartedly in Communism and saw the Russian political upheaval during the war as his shot to create a Communist State.  Shockingly, when Lenin asked the German military for passage to Russia in the midst of a war between the two countries Germany enthusiastically said yes.

The Germans treated Lenin and his Communism as a deadly weapon to be used against their Russian enemy – a virus to infect the opponent and cripple them.  The Germans agreed to transport Lenin across the front lines into Russia, but only via a sealed train so Lenin and his virus could not break out into Germany.  Unleashing the deadly weapon of Communism on the Russian people was a horrifically effective tactic.  As soon as Lenin arrived in Russia, he began to employ Identity Politics and Social Justice as a potent tool in his civil war.

Lenin told his armed revolutionaries in 1918 “Comrade, hang and I mean hang so that the people can see, not less than 100 known rich men, do this so that for hundreds of miles around the people can see, tremble, know and cry.”

Lenin won using Identity Politics to pit groups against each other, incite violence, create anarchy, and then the virus took hold.  Private property and businesses were immediately dissolved, freedom of speech eliminated, individual freedoms crushed, economic collapse, famine, starvation, secret police raids.  Millions of Russians were sent to concentration camps.

It is critical to note this mass death is not caused by Foreign Forces, but from within.  Communism kills in the name of equality.  They kill their own people, Communists do not care, they are indifferent to the suffering.

Man made famines and mass starvation in concentration camps are the norm, the cost of social justice.

The death toll numbers under Communism are staggering Eastern Europe 1m, Vietnam 1m, Afghanistan 1.5m, Africa 1.7m, North Korea 2m, Cambodia 2m, Soviet Russia 20m people, but nowhere is the genocidal sociopathic blood lust of Communism more evident than the dark history of Communist China.

The Rise of Chinese Communism

China became a Communist State in 1949 after a bloody prolonged civil war led by Mao Zedong.  After becoming a Communist dictator Mao joked about the killing of business owners in his own country.  30m people.  “We have so many people we can afford to lose a few”.

Mao’s attempt to industrialise China known as the Great Leap Forward murdered more than 45m people in a few short years, many simply from starvation.  A total of 65m Chinese nationals were murdered under Mao’s Communism.  Mao kept power in spite of the genocide.  Communists NEVER give up power, ever.  They don’t have to.

The State is god, you are nothing.  Mao’s political party remains in power in China to this day and they exercise an iron clad grip on its people.

Antifa/Black Lives Matter

Many of the organised leftists torching American cities are Marxists, they openly admit it.  Indeed, Patrisse Cullors co-founder of Black Lives Matter is on video openly stating “We are trained Marxists.  We are super versed on ideological theories”.  They use identity and class division to destroy private property in the name of “justice”, demonise capitalists, publicly persecute those who disagree with you.  Incite violence and seize power and control.

Analysis

It would appear as with Lenin who used the upheaval of war as his shot at create a  Communist state – we now see Antifa and Black Lives Matter using the upheaval of Covid-19 to launch their opening attack upon the West.  We have started to see history repeating itself.

But who is the Chief Commander leading this dangerous coup?

The United Nation’s Agenda 2030 is an inventory and control plan of ALL land, water, minerals, plants, animals, construction all means of production, food, energy, information and all human beings in the world – ultimately a one world governance structure from a central unit.”

I believe we may have been given a few inadvertent clues as to who is really running this operation – hidden in plain sight.

Time to shine the spotlight on the United Nations – and join up the dots.

Remember you cannot kill an idea but ideas can kill you.

How Socialism Ruined My Country

Published by PragerU on Mar 30, 2017

Is Bernie Sanders right?
Are people living under socialism better off?
Brazil is a good case study. Felipe Moura Brasil, a journalist and Veja magazine columnist, explains how his country has fared under socialism.

Many American millennials seem to be drawn to socialism.
They came out in big numbers for Bernie Sanders in the 2016 presidential primaries. They rail against capitalism on their college campuses. They wear Che Guevara t-shirts to signal their socialist virtue.

I know a lot about socialism. I live in Rio de Janeiro and I work throughout Brazil as a journalist for a popular magazine.

In the early 2000s, Brazil’s economy was growing rapidly.

The government had enacted economic and monetary reforms and divested holdings in some state-run companies, giving the private sector more room to breathe.

Inflation—a chronic problem in Brazil—was dramatically reduced.

Foreign investors poured into the country, eager to catch a portion of our expanding economy.

The future seemed promising.

But today, our economy is in shambles, unemployment and debt are massive and powerful politicians are being investigated for involvement in the largest scandals of fraud and corruption in the country’s history.

What happened?

In 2002, a socialist politician named Lula da Silva ran for the presidency. He was a socialist, but painted himself as a modern, cool kind of socialist. He would be the politician who would heal national divisions and unite everyone. He even had a nickname, “Lulinha paz e amor”, which means “Little Lula peace and love” in Portuguese.

But the old message about the need for income redistribution to decrease inequality was still there. The media, academic elite and celebrities assured Brazilians that by transferring the money from the rich to the poor, the poor could finally be richer.

But the only ones who really got rich were Lula and his corporate and political friends.

It only got worse under his successor, Dilma Rousseff.

The socialists increased government spending, deficits, and debt. They called it a stimulus.

They increased the minimum wage and the benefits of social programs. They called it social justice.

They increased the salaries and retirement benefits of the civil service. They called it investing in the future.

They handed out thousands of jobs in the government and state-owned companies as favors to their political allies. And they called it good governance.

It worked for a while. Socialism always works at the beginning.

But government spending just kept going up and then Lula’s socialist paradise fell apart, and the economy fell with it.

The outcome: from 2008 to 2015, government spending grew nearly four times as fast as tax revenue.

The economy shrank 3.8 percent in 2015, the worst result in 25 years.

That same year, a World Bank survey found Brazil’s economy to be one of the world’s worst. Out of 189 countries, we were the 16th hardest place to open a business, the 60th most difficult nation in which to register property, and the 12th most complex place to pay taxes.

Economically and morally, the almost 15 years of socialist policies have greatly harmed Brazil. We also remain among the world’s leaders in murder and robbery, and we rank near the bottom of industrialized nations in terms of education and health care.

Sanders’s 5 most ignorant statements about Israel

Bernie Sanders

Sen. Bernie Sanders continues to embarrass himself by making uninformed and false anti-Israel statements that seem to parrot radical left, BDS-style, Palestinian propaganda talking points. In many cases, Sanders’s objectionable comments expose his ignorance of foreign policy, especially regarding Israeli-Palestinian affairs.

Here are Sanders’s top 5 most ignorant statements about Israel, in no particular order.

1 – Israel killed “over 10,000 innocent people” during the 2014 Gaza War.

Sanders made the comments during an interview with the New York Daily News last week ahead of the New York primaries scheduled for April 19. They vastly inflate the number of Palestinians killed by Israel in during the 2014 Gaza War.

“I don’t remember the figures, but my recollection is over 10,000 innocent people were killed in Gaza,” Sanders told the paper’s editorial board.

Here, Sanders actually outdoes Hamas’s own anti-Israel disinformation.

Israel and the Palestinians published different figures for the death toll of Operation Protective Edge, as Israel dubbed it, but both put the number of dead well below 2,500, including both civilians and militants. Israel says 1,408 of 2,203 Palestinians killed in the war were militants. Hamas claimed more than half were civilians.

When discussing civilian casualties, let’s remember that Palestinian militants use civilians as human shields and house their terrorist infrastructures in densely populated civilian areas.

Still, Israel goes beyond what many other countries do to protect civilians. The IDF regularly warns civilians of incoming attacks with phone calls and text messages. It further employs “roof knocking” – or firing warning shots before any aerial bombing. If civilians still don’t evacuate, the Israeli army often makes announcements on loudspeakers. The IDF has called off scores of military raids because civilians were in the way.

2 – Sanders accused Israel of a “disproportionate” response during the Gaza War.

“Was Israel’s response disproportionate? I think it was,” Sanders told CNN’s Jake Tapper in a pre-taped interview that aired Sunday on the network’s State of the Union program.

First, let’s not forget why the Gaza War was launched in the first place. Hamas repeatedly violated a truce by firing scores of rockets from Gaza into Israeli civilian population zones. In one day alone, July 8, Hamas launched 40 rockets into Israel, prompting Israeli retaliation and the start of the conflict.

What nation on earth would allow a terrorist army to amass a rocket infrastructure in a neighboring territory and use that land – which Israel evacuated in hope of peace – as a staging ground for constant terrorist rocket attacks?

And by calling Israel’s self-defense “disproportionate,” what exactly is Sanders advocating? That instead of acting to minimize the terrorist threat against its civilians, Israel should respond to every act of Palestinian terrorism with an equivalent act? So if Hamas fires a rocket into a Jewish city, Israel should therefore respond by indiscriminately launching a terror rocket into a Palestinian city with the intent of killing civilians? That the next time a Palestinian stabs an Israeli, the Jewish state should send one of its own into Ramallah to stab a Palestinian civilian?

Sanders’s statement is preposterous, nonsensical, and negates Israel’s ability to defend itself and degrade Hamas’s terrorist infrastructure.

In his CNN interview on Sunday, Sanders further exposed his own ignorance when he conceded that not only was he unware that Michael Oren, the former Israeli ambassador to the U.S., criticized him last week for his comments on the Gaza war; Sanders didn’t even know who Oren was.

CNN reported on the exchange:

Who is Mr. Oren?” Sanders asked, apparently unaware of Israel’s top diplomat to the U.S. during President Barack Obama’s first term.

“Michael Oren, the former ambassador of Israel to the United States. And now he’s a politician in Israel,” Tapper said.

“I see. And he’s attacking me for a statement I did not make,” Sanders said.

3 – Sanders claimed that Israel bombed “hospitals” during the Gaza war, implying that the Jewish state actually attacked civilian medical facilities.

During his Daily News interview, Sanders stated that Israel bombed “hospitals.”

“My understanding is that a whole lot of apartment houses were leveled. Hospitals, I think, were bombed. So yeah, I do believe and I don’t think I’m alone in believing that Israel’s force was more indiscriminate than it should have been,” Sanders said.

Sanders left out that the IDF bombed a wing of Gaza’s empty Al-Wafa Hospital, with the Israeli army saying the building was being used as a Hamas terrorist command center and a launching site for rockets. No casualties were reported in the bombing, and Israel first fired numerous warning shots and ensured that the building was entirely evacuated.

Haaretz reported at the time:

Israel bombed Gaza’s Al-Wafa Hospital from the air on Wednesday, saying it was being used as a Hamas command center and rocket-launching site.

The hospital was empty, after its patients and medical staff had left on July 17. Contrary to reports, militants had not been in the hospital before its evacuation.

The Israel Defense Forces said the strike was aimed at “specific terror targets within the hospital compound.” It said Hamas operatives had fired at IDF forces in recent days from the compound, using light weapons and anti-tank fire “which increased in recent hours, endangering our troops.”

Instead of blasting Hamas for using a hospital to house it’s terrorist infrastructure and a launching pad for rockets fired at Israel, Sanders mindlessly defamed the IDF and continued to expose his own stupidity on Mideast affairs.

4 – Sanders compared the democratic, pro-human rights, terrorist-condemning Israeli government and society to the anti-democratic, human rights abusing, terrorist-supporting Palestinian leadership, as well as Palestinian society in general, which is also mostly supportive of terrorism.

This gem was made in the speech he would have delivered had he attended last month’s annual convention of the pro-Israel lobbying group, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). The Sanders campaign released the text of the speech.

Sanders, the sole Jewish candidate in this year’s presidential elections and the first Jewish politician to ever win a presidential primary, was also the only presidential candidate not to speak at AIPAC’s conference.

“The truth is there are good people on both sides who want peace. And the other truth is there are despots and liars on both sides who benefit from continued antagonism,” said Sanders.

Which “despots” exactly exist on the Israeli side? Is he really comparing some members of the democratically-elected, human rights-supporting Israeli government to actual despots on the Palestinian side?

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has bypassed elections since 2007, ruling instead by enacting annual “emergency” decrees. His Fatah party’s official “military wing” is the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade terrorist group, which is responsible for scores of murderous terror attacks. And the fascist Hamas leadership, which calls for the murder of Jews and destruction of Israel, rules over a notoriously bloody tyranny in the Gaza Strip.

5- Sanders claimed Israel enforces an “economic blockade” of Gaza.

“Peace will also mean ending the economic blockade of Gaza,” his undelivered AIPAC speech states.

As I previously noted, here Sanders is outright echoing Hamas propaganda. There is no economic blockade of Gaza. In response to repeated rocket fire by Gazan terrorists aimed at nearby Israeli civilian population zones, Israel in 2007 imposed a land, air, and sea military blockade of Gaza to ensure that Hamas cannot bring more weapons and rockets into the coastal enclave. This was after Israel unilaterally withdrew from Gaza in 2005 in hopes that the Palestinians would use the territory for peaceful means. Instead, the Gazans elected Hamas to power and the Strip was used as a launching ground for thousands of attacks on Israel.

Contrary to popular belief, all kinds and quantities of consumer goods can be imported into the Gaza Strip through border crossings with Israel. The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs states “border crossings have a capacity of 800 trucks a day, in order to meet all of Gaza’s import demands. Every single day, about 550 truckloads of goods, carrying everything from foodstuffs to vehicles, pass into Gaza from Israel.”

The only import restrictions, the Ministry explains, involve “weapons and a list of dual-use items which can be used in the production of weapons and terrorist infrastructure. Dual-use items can be imported into Gaza subject to a security screening.”

Indeed, Hamas has been caught using imported concrete to build its terror tunnels. A single tunnel utilizes 500 tons of concrete or more.

Also contrary to popular belief, Gaza in modern times has never had a port capable of handling cargo ships; it has relied almost entirely on the transport of goods across the borders with Israel or Egypt.

Besides transporting goods, the Ministry documents:

Israel also supplies the Gaza Strip with millions of cubic meters of water every year and more than half of its electricity. In the beginning of March 2015, Israel announced that it was implementing plans to double the water supplied to Gaza, from 5 million to 10 million cubic meters of water annually (2.6 billion US gallons). These plans had been delayed by the Palestinian refusal to participate in Joint Water Committee meetings.

End of Free Speech in America

Judge Jeanine to Trump Protesters: ‘The Silent Majority Will Not Be Silenced’

“Since when if you verbally lean right are you responsible for the left’s physical reaction?”
Judge Jeanine Pirro weighed the question in her opening statement Saturday night on Justice, in light of the recent violence seen at Donald Trump rallies.

“Since when if you state an opinion are you responsible for someone’s reaction?” she asked. “Since when do you have the right to interrupt my First Amendment right to listen to a candidate for the highest office in the land?”

“This is America. Not the Soviet Union,” said Judge Jeanine.

“Your free speech, if it differs from mine, doesn’t mean that you’re right and I’m wrong, and therefore I must be silenced.

But that is exactly what the left tried to do in Chicago last night, and again moments ago in Kansas City to more than 25,000 who came to hear Donald Trump.”

Protesters, of course, have the right to dissent, said Judge Jeanine.

But “you cannot defend assault by arguing verbal provocation,” she warned.

“This is America, you cannot stop us and you cannot silence us. Beware the sleeping giant – the silent majority of us. We will not be silenced.”

Watch Judge Jeanine’s opening statement above, and read the full transcript below.

And tell her what you think on her Facebook page or onTwitter @JudgeJeanine!

Since when if you state an opinion are you responsible for someone’s reaction?

Since when if you verbally lean right are you responsible for the left’s physical reaction?

Since when do you have the right to interrupt my First Amendment right to listen to a candidate for the highest office in the land?

This is America. Not the Soviet Union. This is America.

You cannot prevent me from speaking or listening. You cannot censor speech.  Free speech is guaranteed. It’s why our Founding Fathers made it their very first amendment to the law of the land. It’s what distinguishes us from communist countries and totalitarian regimes. It’s why people risk their lives to come here.

Your free speech however is not more important than mine. Your free speech, if it differs from mine, doesn’t mean that you’re right and I’m wrong, and therefore I must be silenced. But that is exactly what the left tried to do in Chicago last night, and again moments ago in Kansas City to more than 25,000 who came to hear Donald Trump.

Some supporters, some undecided, some simply curious. Others abject anarchists yelling, ‘Bernie, Bernie’ and responding to activists calls at ‘hashtag shut it down.’

Moveon.org, organized and reportedly paid protestors to disrupt the event. One protestor– Sanders supporter, Tony Fitzpatrick, says he went to dissent, to ask those in attendance to please reconsider.

Really, Tony? Let’s get this straight – tens of thousands of people waiting in line for hours, stretching city blocks and you take it upon yourself to have a discourse on the benefits of a leftist socialist almost communist candidate? And pray tell us who were you going to pick to have this discourse with?

You have the right to protest. If you want to dissent, dissent. Consider a blog, a tweet, hell, put a sign on your front lawn, how about vote for someone else.

But in a civilized society, you do not have the right to interrupt or censor political speech. Let us listen and make our own decisions.

But then again, Tony, it’s Chicago – where kids playing in the park are so used to gunfire they don’t even react, and where as many as 57 people can be shot in one weekend. I know – I lived there.

And you want to blame the dustup on Donald Trump? Even when protestors come for the specific purpose of creating chaos. Someone sucker punches someone else and then rightfully arrested, that’s supposed to be Trump’s fault?

A criminal law primer. Words do not justify violence. You cannot defend assault by arguing verbal provocation. Otherwise every man who battered a woman can say he was justified because she “mouthed off.”

Anytime you get 25,000-30,000 people anywhere, unless it’s to hear the Pope, there are going to be disagreements – especially in a highly charged election year. And by the way, ever been to a baseball game, a heavy metal concert?

And Marco Rubio, in his desperate attempt to criticize Trump, says:

These words have real consequences. Donald Trump has a big platform right now. He’s the front-runner in the Republican Part, and everybody is paying attention to what he’s saying and these words have consequences – when you’re President, even more so.

Words have consequences? Maybe under sharia law, where you can be murdered if you say something considered offensive. But not in the United States of America and not under our Constitution.

And by the way, Marco, didn’t you say your parents came from Cuba to avoid a repressive regime? Stop being so small, Marco.

Americans have been angry for a long time. Barack Obama, the great hope-and-change unifier, has openly pitted the haves against the have-nots, the cops against the very public they defend.

We’ve never been more divided. Religions being forced to act against their principles, Republicans characterized as wanting dirty air and dirty water.

Conservatives are blocked from speaking at universities, the left so dictatorial that they will stop at nothing to prevent free speech, even in the cradle of education. Black Lives Matter, Occupy Wall Street, determined to disrupt our free discourse so they can control the narrative.

Look – any course correction after seven years of hazardous charting will be difficult and upending. The status quo – like the establishment – are petrified of Donald Trump to the point that they are willing to take action, the likes of which we’ve never seen in American politics.

The desperation of these anarchists is nothing more than an effort to suppress the protected rights upon which our republic was founded.

This is America, you cannot stop us and you cannot silence us. Beware the sleeping giant – the silent majority of us. We will not be silenced.

And that’s my open.

What I learned from watching the Democrats’ Debate

* “Black Lives Matter”; all lives don’t matter.
* College should be free and all student loans cancelled.
* All medical treatment should be free.
* To become an American citizen you just need to show up here.
* The economy sucks and after 7 years in office, it’s not Obama’s fault.
* The Middle Class is shrinking rapidly and after 7 years in office, it’s not Obama’s fault.
* Average family income is continuing to drop and after 7 years in office, it’s not Obama’s fault.
* Black youths have over a 45% unemployment rate and after 7 years in office it’s not Obama’s fault.
* Hispanic youth unemployment is over 35% and after 7 years in office, it’s not Obama’s fault.
* 50+/-% of the population is paying 100% of all the taxes and they are still not paying their “fair share.” The other 50% are not receiving nearly enough free stuff and deserve more.
* Everyone who votes Democrat will work less, make more money, get more time off, spend more time with family, pay less taxes, and get more government subsidies.
* Government wants even more money to squander on old promises already broken.
* Being a “Progressive” is a less cringe-worthy euphemism than saying you’re a Liberal.
* When America grows up, we want to be Norway, Sweden or the Netherlands .
* There’s a quagmire in Iraq and Obama’s complete retreat from there has nothing to do with the situation.
* Republicans want dirty air, oil spills, trash in the streets, polluted oceans, no medical treatment, young people without any education being paid the lowest possible wages, starving children, were responsible for Jim Crow Laws and don’t believe in equal rights.
* Snowden and General Petraeus broke laws for releasing and not securing secret documents but Hillary Clinton shares no responsibility for doing WORSE.
* If Hilary is elected, everything will be rainbows and Unicorns– just like with Obama.
* Hilary Clinton does walk on water.
* Cheaters do prosper.
* People often cheer stupidity.
* There is only one candidate given a voice in the Democrat Race.
* Hilary and Bill Clinton were born poor black children.
* All the qualifications needed to be president is to be a woman.
* Evil looks like anything white, rich, successful and productive.
* You will receive a participation trophy in life.
* Agreements of any kind should be signed and committed to, even if the other agreeing party doesn’t live up to its obligations.
* Everyone else does it, so we should too, regardless of any results in those other countries.
* Everything is still Bush’s fault.

Bernie Sanders “partnering” with Al Sharpton

Sanders ans Sharpton

The guy who wants to raise taxes has breakfast with a the guy who doesn’t pay them

Sanders reach out to Sharpton

Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders says the system is rigged, and that the rich and powerful don’t pay their share in taxes.
Since Sanders is desperate to get support from black voters, he is meeting with Al Sharpton.
Never mind the fact that Sharpton doesn’t pay HIS fair share in taxes. His businesses reportedly owe $4 million + in taxes.
Yes, the system is rigged in favor of Al Sharpton.
And by reaching out to Sharpton, Bernie Sanders proves he is just another corrupted politician

The Difference Between How Capitalists And Socialists Think

From: Right Wing News

Feb, 2016 by

Pay attention to this, because as Monday’s Iowa caucus on the Democrat side shows there are an awful lot of people whose brains are poisoned with Marxist thinking – and American culture and education are rapidly descending into a socialist point of view from which only disaster can result. When Bernie Sanders gets 70 percent of the youth vote in the Democrat Iowa caucus, it’s a problem.

Here’s the meme…

Capitalist Socialist

This issue is not a new one. Here was Margaret Thatcher, taking questions in the British Parliament on this precise topic some 26 years ago. At the end of her time as prime minister, she caught a question from a socialist MP from the Labor Party about the increasing gap between rich and poor. And knocked it straight out of the park…

Another way to describe this phenomenon is as follows – the rich, generally speaking, will always make money. They’re rich, in large measure, because they have the skill of moneymaking – either they know how to invest money wisely, they ply a lucrative trade, they own assets which turn out large amounts of revenue, or what have you.

And no matter how awful the economy might be, they will continue to do well. If society collapses and we descend into something out of the Mad Max movies, there will be some enterprising opportunist who will find a water well or an oil derrick somewhere, defend it with guns and make a comfortable living selling his water or oil to those passing by.

For the rest of us, who don’t have great skill in accumulating wealth, it is necessary for a vibrant, growing economy to exist so that we might get ahead. Some of us might become rich off the bountiful opportunities that economy provides, while more of us might become middle and upper-middle class. Others may never acquire the skills or resources to achieve social mobility and better themselves – but that is even more true in a moribund socialistic economy than it is in a vibrant, growing capitalist one.

And history shows that the vibrant, growing capitalist economy is the one in which people volunteer their time and money toward helping those less fortunate. The generation of surplus – whether in goods, services or money – is the key to advancing the cause of the poor. And in a comfortable society the voluntary sharing of that surplus, combined with the conditions of incentive making the sharing of that surplus a good investment – meaning that those helping the less fortunate aren’t just giving a man a fish but insisting on teaching him to fish – is what makes for fewer poor and less of them.

That is a just and honorable society, and not one based in envy.

So the real question is, do you favor the forced redistribution of wealth from those who have the skills and resources to improve their lot to those who lack those skills or their application, or don’t you? If you do, you’re a socialist and you’re part of the problem.

Bernie Sanders Calls For Totalitarian Gun Confiscation

Posted on January 23, 2016 by Benjamin Knight in Politics, Social Issues // 145 Comments

Gun Free Zone

Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont (a pro-gun state, for the record) said on an episode of NBC’s “Meet The Press” that “we need to make sure that certain types of guns used to kill people, exclusively, not for hunting, they should not be sold in the United States of America.”

“Coming from a rural state, I think I can communicate with folks coming from urban states where guns mean different things than they do in Vermont where it’s used for hunting,” he said.

Calling for a ban on all firearms “used to kill people” and “not for hunting” implies a ban on all guns, period.

More recently, Sanders appeared on the same show on 1/17 and touted his vote to “ban assault weapons” in 1988.  He claimed to have rethought certain aspects of that legislation but never rescinded his viewpoint on banning firearms.

The Vermont senator, like other anti-gun activists, failed to mention that Americanspurchased 170 million new guns since 1991 and the crime rate has since dropped 51%.  He also never mentioned that “gun control” failed in cities like Chicago wheresomeone is murdered every three hours.

Liberals have recently demanded more anti-gun rhetoric from Sanders, the Democratic presidential candidate’s shift to the far-left on this issue is likely an attempt to placate to his party’s core voters as the 2016 election quickly approaches.
