36-year Navy veteran, retired Admiral James Lyons, Jr. the former Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Pacific Fleet, and a former senior U.S. military representative to the United Nations was recognized and honored with the 2015 Freedom Shield Award at the “Keeper of the Flame” event at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Postal Museum.

While making his acceptance speech the Admiral blasted Congress for not stopping Obama’s fundamental transformation of America and stated that the greatest national security threat to the United States resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, The White House.
